Buenos Aires, Feb. 18 (NA). - The general secretary of CTA Autónoma, Hugo 'Cachorro' Godoy, strongly rejected the labor reform project, stating that all its articles 'are against workers and in favor of a very small group of businessmen.' 'Today, workers are once again coming to completely reject this bill and to tell you that if you approve it, you will be closing the vicious circle opened by the genocidal dictatorship of Videla and Martínez de Hoz,' added the union leader. Speaking at the labor reform debate, he warned that 'if you approve this project, you will surely multiply the social scenario we are already going through, with 22,000 SMEs that have closed, and with the almost 300,000 formal workers who have been fired in these last two years.' He added that 'the only thing that grows in Argentina is labor precariousness, and with this law they are deepening it, because they are enabling dismissals without any compensation. They are opening the floodgates of horror for millions of workers who today have a regulated job and are guaranteeing more than 50% of those who currently have a precarious job eternity in those conditions,' he indicated. Criticism Godoy pointed out that 'the same arguments you use to defend the reform are the same ones that the dictatorship used when it modified and violated the labor contract law, and when it kidnapped and made disappear the creator of that law, as well as 30,000 comrades.'
